Australia has today joined the United States and European Union partners to shine a light on Russia’s ongoing unacceptable activity in cyberspace, and condemns Russia’s destructive, disruptive and destabilising cyber activities against Ukraine.

The joint statement, issued by the Minister for Foreign Affairs Senator the Hon. Marise Payne, Minister for Defence the Hon. Peter Dutton MP and Minister for Home Affairs the Hon. Karen Andrews MP, provides further examples of Moscow’s indiscriminate approach to cyber operations and blatant disregard for the effects of such operations on the public, including through the commercial sector.

The full joint statement can be found on the Department of Foreign Affairs website.

All Australians are urged to report cybercrime and cyber incidents to ReportCyber, or call the 24/7 cyber security hotline 1300 CYBER1 (1300 292 371).
