In the Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre’s (ASD’s ACSC's) latest Annual Cyber Threat Report, over 67,500 cybercrimes were reported in the 2020-21 financial year. This is an average of one cybercrime reported every eight minutes. More than 75% of cybercrimes reported lead to loss of finances or personal information through online scams and fraud.

Australia Today’s ‘Morning Agenda’ podcast with Natarsha Belling unpacks the cyber threats facing Australians every day in a cyber security special. Head of the ASD’s ACSC, Ms Abigail Bradshaw, discussed the impacts of cybercrime in Australia and the simple steps people can take to stay secure online.

Australia Today’s ‘Morning Agenda’ podcast provides Australians key news headlines and provides analysis on the most important stories of the day.
