Background /What has happened?

A vulnerability (CVE-2021-30883) has been identified in certain versions of Apple iOS and iPadOS which could allow an actor to either trick a user to install malware via an app or perform other actions  on a vulnerable device.  This vulnerability affects a wide range of iPhone/iPad devices.

Mitigation / How do I stay secure?

Apple has released security updates to address this vulnerability. Owners of affected Apple products should apply the available security updates as soon as possible. Guidance on how to apply software updates to Apple products is available from the Apple security updates page.
