Today we have released a joint cyber security advisory – Russian Military Cyber Actors Target U.S. and Global Critical Infrastructure – in collaboration with our international partners.

This advisory outlines the tactics, techniques, and procedures of Russian cyber actors to conduct espionage, sabotage, and reputational harm against global critical infrastructure.

Alongside our international partners, we recommend organisations take the following actions:

  • prioritise routine system updates
  • remediate known exploited vulnerabilities
  • segment networks to prevent the spread of malicious activity
  • enable phishing-resistant MFA for external facing services, such as webmail and VPNs.

Organisations should also implement ASD’s Essential Eight guidance.

To learn more about the threat posed by these cyber actors, and how to protect your organisation, read the full advisory.
